Meet Brittany Bell, M.Ed

I’m Brittany Bell, an educator with ten years of experience, an author, a homeschool mom, and the founder of Power Parent.
Throughout my years in education, I saw the powerful difference parents could make when they understood what their children were learning and felt equipped to support it. I also saw how often caring, committed parents were told to read more at home, practice skills, help with homework, or prepare their children for school—but were not shown how.
That gap stayed with me.
As a mother, I came to understand the challenge from the other side as well. Even with an educational background, supporting learning alongside everyday family life requires intention, flexibility, and tools that are practical enough to use consistently.
Parents should not have to recreate a classroom at home or spend hours preparing lessons to give their children meaningful support.
Power Parent grew from my desire to bridge the space between what educators know and what parents are actually given.
WHY POWER PARENT EXISTS
Power Parent exists to take the guesswork out of supporting a child’s learning.
We translate educational knowledge into straightforward resources parents can confidently use at home. Instead of overwhelming families with complicated terminology or unrealistic expectations, we break learning into clear, manageable steps.
Our resources help parents answer the questions that matter:
• What does my child need to learn?
• How should I explain it?
• What should we practice?
• How will I know whether my child understands?
• What should we do next?
Our goal is not to turn parents into classroom teachers. It is to help parents use the influence, knowledge, and everyday opportunities they already have more intentionally.

The mission of Power Parent is to equip parents with practical, high-quality educational resources that build confidence, strengthen learning at home, and help children develop the skills they need to thrive.
We envision families in which parents feel informed rather than intimidated, children receive consistent support beyond the classroom, and learning becomes a meaningful part of everyday home life.
Power Parent is growing into a trusted collection of resources for reading, language development, academic practice, parent guidance, homeschool support, and other areas of children’s learning and development.
As the collection grows, the purpose will remain the same: giving parents the knowledge and tools to help their children move forward with confidence.
